Pack Information:
The pack of Jazqu is the oldest pack in the forest. Their land is among the largest and their pack holds great numbers. Jazqu are a prideful pack of wolves. They want to seem bigger and better than the other two packs. Their prey mainly includes the deer that roam their forest. When needed, they may also prey on smaller mammals such as rabbits and raccons. The pack has also learned out to catch fish that call the stream flowing through their territory home.
Jazqu have two allies. Akahli and Trinadon. These packs are a days travel away each way and scouts are often sent between packs with news from each pack. These three packs meet every two months for a gathering. The King(and Queen) along with all Heads and a few other wolves gather at one of the packs' camps for the meeting to be held. There is no fighting during these meetings. Scouts are sent a few days prior to each pack to question where it will be held. The meetings used to be held every month, but since the Beasts have taken over the area that was equal distance for all packs to come, the meetings have to be moved to every two months.
Jazqu make their home in a large clearing that is next to a rocky cliff side. The clearing has trees surrounding it with thick foliage between the trees to close in the clearing. The cliff side holds home to most of the dens. The one with the largest opening, right in the middle is the den for all hunters, guards, scouts, and knights. A little ways down the cliff is a smaller opening and smaller den for the Squires. In the far corner, a tumble of rocks and logs form a small, cozy cave with a grassy floor. Here mothers and their pups stay. Elders sleep is a den at the opposite corner. Their den is under a low overhang of the cliff with bushes blocking most of it. The King(or Queen) call home to the den formed from an old stump with rocks around it forming a small den. The King will stand atop the stump to address the pack.
Just outside their clearing, lays a smaller clearing with a moss covered ground. Here all fight training is held. The soft mossy ground help cushion falls
In the middle of the territory, a stream flows and pools out into a pond toward the bottom of the pack's land. During the hot days of summer you can catch some of the pack here trying to escape the heat.
Back Story:
In all of Jazqu's history there are two wolves who stand out the most. Father and son. Kinton has to be the most famous king in the history of all three kingdoms. Kinton was the wolf to bring peace to the three kingdoms. After Kinton, his son followed. His son Jacob took the throne unwilling, but in doing so, he brought the kingdom back together, and closer than ever before.
Kinton's Rule
Kinton was now the new king of Jazqu, along with his queen, Ness. Kinton took the throne at the age of 4 years, after his father died. Around this time, a prince had been born to the new king and queen. He was named Jacob. After his son's birth, Kinton ruled for three years, with a greatness none had seen, and an iron claw, that matched. Kinton soon became known as 'The Great King' to all surrounding kingdoms. No kingdom had known such peace, or friendship before Kinton's rule. Even wars where a thing only the elders knew of. That was.. Until that cold winter night. Kinton was awoken by the call of his head knight. Running from his den, Kinton saw a large mass heading for his kingdom. Upon its arrival, it was seen to be very large wolves. Ones who wanted the lands were the kingdoms where. Two kingdoms had already been overthrown, leaving Kinton with only 2 allies, and both too far to send scouts. Not wanting to give up his kingdom, he gave the signal to fight. Flinging himself into battle, despite his age, Kinton was killed. What few wolves survived, fled. The prince among them. Now the old kingdom was left untouched. The larger wolves chose not to take it, seeing it not fit for them. The prince returned, after finding a few wolves, and recruiting new ones, he took the throne. Although some would say he took it unwillingly.
Jacob's Rule
Though Jacob took the throne unwillingly, he still took it. He was 3 at the time. Jacob brought the kingdom back together after what was known as the "Kingdom Massacre". Jacob was able to find many of the wolves that fled, but some he couldn't find. After he found all he could, and invited new wolves to join, Jacob set about rebuilding the pack. Though now he only had two allies, Akahli and Trinadon, Jacob pressed on. He soon got used to his role as king, even though he didn't want it. He brought the pack back to its former glory, and basked in his achievement. Yes, he knew those other wolves where out, but this time they wouldn't be caught off guard. Jacob created a new rank for his pack, guards. They would keep watch through the day and mostly through the night.
Eventually Jacob settled down with a female. He mostly did this because he knew he needed an heir to the throne and he was already 5 years old. Jacob had three pups, two males; one he named Lez, who was the strongest of the litter, the second he named Nick, the runt. He had a daughter as well, named Ryder. She was almost as strong as her brother, Lez. As the three pups got older, Jacob knew he had to chose one of his sons to follow him. Naturally Jacob chose Lez. Jacob started to train Lez himself, while his brother and sister started their training as scout and knight, respectively.
Lez was nearing the end of training, and had reached the age of 2 years. With Jacob now 7 years of age, he was ready to step down and give the throne to Lez. The day that Jacob was to step down, Lez and Nick went hunting. Nick had just returned from visiting Trinadon, a 3 day journey, and the brothers had missed each other. While out hunting, they where attacked by a mother grizzly. Nick, not being a fighter, was killed on the spot. Lez kept fighting, though suffered fatal wounds. After making his way back to camp with his dead brother, the soon-to-be king didn't make it through the night. Jacob had to make a choice. Either stay king and try for another son, or train his daughter. The old king decided that Jazqu could use some change, and started his daughter's training.
Plot:
It's been quite a few years since Jacob's rule. His Great-Great-Grandson is the current King of the pack. With his Great-Great-Great-Granddaughter set as the next Queen. Since the last two Ruler's of the pack, the giant Beats have lay low. They are still there, and every now and then there have been troubles, but nothing too bad. Now they are starting to pick more fights. More wolves are winding up dead at all boards, even Akahli and Trinadon's boarders. Prey is also being found, left to rot as a message to the packs. Because of this, three Guards have been assigned to the royal family, and at persistence of the Head Wolves. Dytos assigned two of the older members and one younger, hoping his daughter and sons would go along with the idea more if a younger wolf was there as well. But when things start going south, will this young Guardswolf and Riley start to hit it off in the middle of an all out war?
